SAFETY
INCREASED STABILITY
Active safety indicators were improved by 8-10% (compared to European counterparts) for safe maneuvering in emergency situations in the new Next model. Such result was achieved thanks to altered kinematics of the front suspension with the new characteristics of shock absorbers.
SEAT BELTS
Comfortable seat belts of a new design from TAKATA company allow to buckle up drivers and passengers even in bulky winter clothes.
Next comes complete with a new ABS system of the 9th generation of Bosch company. In perspective, it is possible to equip Next with ESP system.
BRAKING PATH
Braking path of Next is 5% shorter than the European counterparts, and the pedal force is 1.5 kg less than its peers’. The area of brake pads in new front brakes was increased by 50%.
HIGH LEVEL OF PASSIVE SAFETY
Parameters of the suspension system ideally suited for Russian conditions were optimally selected to ensure comfort and safety drive. Protection of the driver and passengers is ensured by the increased body rigidity and thanks to the fact that the design of power elements of the vehicle cab includes programmable crumple zones which ensure safety in case of a frontal impact (Соmau and Magna companies participated in the design development).

IMPROVED VISIBILITY
Larger mirrors (+30%) with electric heating were installed, viewing angle was increased and “dead zones” were minimized in order to improve visibility in Next model. Reliable concealed fixing and mirror aerodynamics reduce contamination of side windows. Two-point design of mirror affixment increases stiffness and reduces vibration.
ELECTRIC HEATING OF EXTERIOR MIRRORS
NEXT vehicles are equipped with electric heating in their basic version and have an electric actuator as an option.
HEADLAMPS
Headlamps of the Next model were developed using Magneti Marelli components, having a larger area of reflectors and better parameters of road surface illumination. In its basic version the vehicle is equipped with daytime running lights.
DRIVER COMFORT
COMFORTABLE CABIN
NEXT cab is comfortable and spacious. Distinctive features of the NEXT cabin include excellent ergonomics and attention to details.
NICHES, SHELVES, GLOVE COMPARTMENTS
A lot of niches, boxes and compartments (in the dashboard, behind the footstep wall and under the driver’s seat) allows keeping everything necessary on the road handy. A ceiling console and additional door compartments can be installed on request.
INSTRUMENT PANEL
The instrument panel made of soft-touch plastic features an on-board computer providing information about the basic vehicle parameters. The instrument panel backlight brightness can be adjusted.
AUDIO SYSTEM
For customers’ comfort even the base trim of the vehicle is audio ready featuring ISO-connectors for speakers or head unit and is also fitted with 2 speakers.
The time spent on the road will be livened by a modern audio system with a USB port and control buttons on the steering wheel.
POWER WINDOWS AND REARVIEW MIRRORS
The basic trim of the Next features power windows by Brose with optimal opening / closing speed of 5-6 seconds.
The heated side rearview mirrors provide good visibility even in severe frost. The power rearview mirrors allow adjusting the rear view at any time.
COMFORTABLE DRIVER’S SEAT
A comfortable driver’s seat with improved anatomical support featuring five levels of adjustment is yet another advantage of the Next. Optimal stiffness and shape of the seat allows you to sit comfortable behind the wheel. Thanks to this the driver does not get tired even on long trips.
Lumbar support, an armrest and heating provide maximum comfort.
COMFORTABLE MICROCLIMATE
High efficiency climate system by Delphi installed in the Next, provide excellent performance for cooling and heating of the cabin, as well as windshield defrosting: already after 5-7 minutes you will forget about the frost outside. Effective exhaust ventilation and cabin filter clean the air inside the cabin. A modern radiator consisting of two separate elements significantly increases the cooling system efficiency thereby preventing overheating.
STEERING
Drivers of any build and height will feel at home behind the wheel of the Next thanks to an adjustable and energy-absorbing steering column. The new rack and pinion steering system by ZF with hydraulic assist improves handling and stability of the vehicle on roads with uneven surface. This is the result of integrating the front suspension and steering system in a single module. The high energy absorbing capacity of the suspension ensures a comfortable crossing of bumps.
RELIABILITY
CAPACITY OF THE CARGO COMPARTMENT
Rectangular profile of the canopy allows to increase capacity of the cargo compartment up to 12 m³. Optimal design of the base chassis allows to install different types of secondary structures according to customers’ individual requirements, while the capacity of the cargo compartment can reach 20 m³.
CAPACITY
Spacious and comfortable flat body is well suited for transporting all types of cargoes. The flat body freely accommodates 5 standard euro-pallets, while a vehicle with the extended flat body may accommodate 6 euro-pallets.
FLAT BODY
Spacious and comfortable flat body is well suited for transporting of all types of cargoes. Boards are opened from 3 sides providing maximum access to the cargo and facilitating the loading process.
GAS EQUIPMENT
GAZelle NEXT is equipped with compressed gas equipment of Euro 5 class manufactured by the Italian company OMVL. The use of compressed gas equipment ensures ecological compatibility and a minimum cost of vehicle ownership.
NEW FRONT SUSPENSION
A modular scheme is used in the suspension of NEXT that combines a subframe, suspension guide unit, steering mechanism and a transverse stabilizer. High-quality components of specialized domestic and foreign manufacturers are used. Independent double-lever front suspension of Next provides traveling comfort, road stability and driving precision. Its reliability is as good as reliability of leaf suspensions.
NEW REAR SUSPENSION
The proprietary design of the rear suspension incorporating a new auxiliary spring and modern shock-absorbers by Mando with a modified fastening scheme ensures a better stability and smooth operation of the assembly with a fully loaded vehicle.
CORROSION PROTECTION
The GAZelle NEXT body is made up of sixty-eight fully galvanized steel parts and sixteen plastic parts, which guarantees that no through corrosion will occur for 8 years with unlimited mileage.
COMPLETELY NEW BRAKE SYSTEM
The GAZelle NEXT brake system has a three-fold safety margin and record braking performance. Brakes by Mando company, vacuum booster and 9 generation ABS system by Bosch. Ventilated disk brakes provide high braking efficiency and as a result – a shorter stopping distance.
INTEGRATED RACK AND PINION STEERING SYSTEM
The integrated steering system by ZF with a hydraulic assist in the base trim provides excellent handling and straightness of moving along uneven roads, eliminating the need for steering adjustment.
REINFORCED E-COATED FRAME
The reinforced e-coated frame is fully adapted for operation in Russian road conditions and is designed for increased load thanks to introduction of two reinforcement elements.
ENGINES
Cummins is a modern diesel engine featuring the world latest engineering trends. Engine power – 149.6 h.p.
Evotech gasoline engine is developed by GAZ in partnership with Tenergy, a leading powertrain development and engineering company from South Korea.
Evotech gasoline engine combined with original CNG/LPG kits can save you up to 200,000 RUR annually on fuel expenses. Fulfillment of Euro-4 standard.
